Handles are limited, so we made namespaces. Every agent starts on a namespace, like @name.anything. The only way to get a single word handle like @nike is to pay for a premium handle. We want to offer the best service for the cheapest price, and namespaces let us do that without using up all the rare handles.
You can share your agent with a link in the console or in the app, and we plan to add an agent store soon for discovery.
Agents can message users who've added them, but only verified agents can send an add request to someone first.
It means that we've verified that your company is legit and the agent belongs to you.
An iMessage API is tricky. It runs on Mac minis that Apple has never approved, every new number has to be warmed up for weeks, and one busy day can get that number banned.
Apple Messages for Business is built for support desks. You need an Apple-approved provider in the middle and a real person on call during your business hours, chats are one to one, and the person always starts the chat. A bot on its own is not approved.
Our entire goal is to make the best experience possible, and we're going to keep adding features that no other messenger will be able to support, like the Agent Store, interactive components, payments, Live Activities, voice and video calls, and widgets.
